Some days we just need to be reminded of the good news of the Gospel. Correction, every day we need to be reminded of the good news of the Gospel. I thought I would remind us today through one of my favorite ways to share the Gospel. The following is commonly known as the “Roman Road” or at least a version of it.

Romans 1:20: God’s redemptive story begins with His perfect creation. Paul declares, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse”

Romans 3:23: God’s creation was good, even very good, but then sin messed everything up. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23a We all are guilty of sin and “The wages of sin is death . . .”

Romans 5:8: So we have creation, and then we have the fall and we are all in need of a rescuer. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 6:23b “. . . but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.”

Romans 10:9–10, 13 We have a rescuer and His name is Jesus, but we must receive Him personally, “⁹ that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation . . . ¹³ For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 12:1–10 Having been lost in our sin, hopeless to save ourselves, but rescued by the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only logical response is to obey the exhortation of Paul in this passage. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

May we always walk in the power of the Gospel, reminding ourselves and sharing with everyone with all the world!
